Zovirax Cold Sore Cream. Works at tingle & blister. Clinically proven to improve healing and treat the virus.
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is indicated in adults and children for the treatment of a cold sore which is an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus
Stages of the virus
After the itchy, tingly stage, the site of the cold sore gradually develops into a blister or a small group of blisters, surrounded by red and swollen skin.
After a day or so these burst to produce the typical open sore.
Like a sore anywhere on your body, these sores gradually dry up and form a crusty scab, which is usually a yellow-brown colour.
The sore gradually heals.
The scab falls off over a few days and should completely disappear after around 10 days, or faster with the use of Zovirax Cold Sore Cream.
The area may be a bit swollen for few days.
This is a medicine;
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist

The active ingredient in Zovirax is Aciclovir. It works by inhibiting the growth of the virus and significantly reducing the severity of its symptoms.
Aciclovir belongs to a class of drugs known as aciclovir or antiviral medications. It is used to treat various viral infections caused by the herpes simplex virus, such as herpes labialis, herpes simplex keto, herpes labialis meningitis, herpes zoster, herpes labialis, genital herpes and shingles.
Zovirax works by inhibiting the viral enzyme which is responsible for virus DNA replication. This resulted in the reduction of the severity of the symptoms and the reduction of the frequency of initial symptoms. As a result, the virus become more sensitive to the effects of the aciclovir treatment.
Zovirax does not completely eliminate the herpes simplex virus from your body. However, you may be able to use it to treat the virus in the body, reducing the severity of the symptoms.
Zovirax helps to decrease the production of a virus by reducing the production of this small amount of this drug. A low dose of the aciclovir medication may be prescribed to treat a cold sore.
